Bicycle in urban planning and strategies: a use for tourism

Abstract

This article contextualizes urban mobility, presenting the factors that inuence the sociospatial organization of the city and the interface with the cyclomobility. The Brazilian and municipal laws of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, regarding bicycle in urban mobility, laws that support and encourage the use of the bicycle as a means of transportation. However, with the indication that they are even more efective, the integration between transport, which occurs in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, is still restricted to the implementation of cycles in train and subway stations. For that could find out about the cycle of city in Brazil, studying the two cities in Europe, Copenhagen and Berlin. It is possible to perceive an eective investment plan for the development of cyclomobilization in Rio de Janeiro in São Paulo, while more companies invest more than just in laws and the implementation of cycle paths.
