Circuito Estrada Real no Estado de Minas Gerais: influência dos traços culturais brasileiros na gestão de pessoas em organizações hoteleiras

Abstract

Within the context of the Structuring Project Estrada Real, which aims at promoting the tourist development of the Minas Gerais state, this study discusses how people management has occurred from the viewpoint of Brazilian culture, in two towns which belong to the Estrada Real circuit: ‘Ouro Preto’ and ‘Conceição do Ibitipoca’. In order to discuss the question, an empirical research was carried out, aiming at identifying the management approach adopted in the organizations involved. In terms of methodology, the study employs a qualitative, exploratory and explanatory nature, using semi‑structured interviews for data collecting, as well as content analysis for data treatment. The results reflect the relevant influence of the Brazilian cultural traits on the management model used by the organizations.
