Técnicas estendidas em obras brasileiras para tímpanos solo: inovação e soluções técnico-instrumentais
Abstract
This article describes some extended techniques used in Brazilian works for timpani solo written in the 20th and 21st centuries. The methodology procedures employed were based on the identification of the use of extended techniques within the Brazilian repertoire for timpani solo through the existing cataloging and confrontation with the extended techniques found in the international repertoire. Subsequently, excerpts that were considered innovative with regard to the use of extended techniques were selected, as well as technical-instrumental solutions for these excerpts are explained in the article. In addition, the article aims the dissemination of this specific repertoire still little known by the musical community.
