This article discusses the importance of bibliographic review in a research not only for the construction of the theoretical-methodological framework, as also for the construction of data collection instruments. It is a theoretical study about scientific education based on references from the perspective of Science, Technology and Society, undertaken within the framework of a research project in progress, whose goal was to identify in the literature review the attributes / assumptions / characteristics of the conceptions of a scientific education in the critical perspective. As a fundamental methodology for this systematization, “Reading Guides” were elaborated in order to identify auxiliary categories for the study. As a preliminary result are pointed out aspects that characterize the understanding of the area on critical scientific education.
