Goals

JT&D’s main goals are as follows:

1. To create a platform of discussion and promotion in order to disseminate knowledge and research in tourism.
2. To create a neutral space, dedicated to analysis and debate, and based in a technical-scientifically rigour, about Portuguese tourism issues and its positioning on an international level.
3. To support, with innovation and knowledge, the organizations responsible for elaborating the national politics for tourism and the tourism businesses sector.
4. To promote projects and academic essays of research and development, coming from graduation, masters and doctoral degrees from tourism schools, as well as knowledge centres from national organizations and businesses.
5. To contribute and to promote technical-scientific knowledge produced in an academic-scientific world, to get closer to businesses, organizations and professionals of the tourism sector.
6. To promote the internationalization of knowledge generated in national tourism schools, along with the international scientific community.
