PROA-UA Platform – Service Restoration

Following the cybersecurity incident recently affecting the University of Aveiro’s information systems, the PROA-UA platform, used for the editorial management of the Journal of Tourism & Development, was temporarily unavailable.

We hereby inform that the platform is now fully operational, following the implementation of a set of security measures and a process of infrastructure updating and modernisation, aimed at reinforcing security, resilience, and the reliability of editorial procedures.

The editorial team is closely monitoring the resumption of normal platform operations. Any deadlines affected during the period of unavailability will be adjusted in an equitable manner, with specific situations assessed on a case-by-case basis.
