Communication is a sine qua non condition, thinking in the context of higher education, as a place of construction of knowledge, par excellence, and as an aggregating field of linguistic diversity. In a context of teaching and learning foreign languages, the present work aims to study the error in written expression, through the analysis of a corpus, consisting of works of Chinese students attending to Written Expression Workshops in Portuguese language. It is intended that the results contribute to the reflection of the error in the written expression of a (foreign) language, namely as a factor that enhances learning and modulates the teaching process.
