Abstract

This article reflects on the relation of rural tourism in the administrative region of Sobradinho and the accessibility for a social inclusion. It discusses how people with disabilities or reduced mobility are welcomed in the establishments in this area, considering that people with disabilities and reduced mobility are a growing segment, and it is necessary that the establishments offer proper infrastructure to their needs. First, a theoretical discussion about tourism, hospitality, rural tourism and accessible rural tourism is made, as well as a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research looking to describe the physical characteristics of accessibility of rural establishments located at the Rota do Cavalo - tourist route located in Sobradinho . In the conclusions, it was diagnosed that the establishments are not prepared to receive people with disabilities or reduced mobility, needing guidance about how to proceed with the necessary adaptations. It is advised a deepening on the research related to this subject in a way to further support the knowledge and the quality of accessibility so the rural tourism can turn into a potentializer of social inclusion.
