Florianopolis is frequented by sun and beach tourists and faces the seasonality outside the summer period, therefore, events that occur in different periods are tools considered important to leverage the city’s competitiveness as a tourist destination. In order to understand this scenario and to reach the objective of analyzing the influence of the stakeholders on events in relation to competitiveness under the lenses of hospitality, a multiple case study (Yin, 2010) was used in the Carnival, Réveillon, Fenaostra, Boi - de - Mamão and Festa do Divino as a research methodology, as well as participant observation according to Dencker and Da Via (2002). Bardin’s method was used to analyze the results (2011). Exploratory interviews were conducted with organizers of the chosen events. The results showed that there is a relationship of hospitality between the organizers of the events and their stakeholders, this cooperation and mutual interest generate benefits for all stakeholders.
