Abstract

This article aims to discuss the idea of Collaborative Travel, highlighting one of its new modalities, called House Sitting; As well as intend to demonstrate the impression on these topics of undergraduate tourism students from two of the most important courses in Brazil. For this, the process of globalization and the emergence of the Collaborative Economy are contextualized and related with the tourism sector, fomenting a new interaction between tourists and hosts. For the accomplishment of this article were carried out bibliographical researches to base the subjects dealt with, quantitative researches to collect the impressions of the students about the subjects worked and, finally, online research on the platforms of House Sittingexisting in the world. At the end of the study, it was noticed that there is still a lack of knowledge of the target audience about the new technologies of tourism and that further studies on the subject are necessary.
