Public policy councils are organs that assist the governance of a tourist destination, enabling the discussion of topics not always contemed in the governmental agendas. Given this reality, taking as reference the tourist governance of Socorro, São Paulo, Brazil and the sustainability and accessibility binomial, the present study sought to identify how the Municipal Tourism Council of Socorro and other actors involved with local tourist governance discuss the management of sustainability and accessibility from the perspective of results. For this purpose, it used the methodological procedures: diagnostic research, data triangulation and content analysis. The results showed that in the context of accessibility management in Socorro, governance is at the level of actions, recognizing this management as already consolidated. The management of sustainability, in turn, is at the level of propositions and actions, in a process of construction.
