Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the existing knowledge around the level of accessibility of the tourism offer. In this context, a systematic review of the literature on this topic was carried out, resulting in the analysis of a total of 38 scientific articles, selected from the Scopus database. The results of this research show that the number of studies on the level of accessibility of tourism supply is still very limited, despite the growing relevance of the accessible tourism market and the recognition of the need for tourism supply to offer products adapted to needs, not only because it constitutes an excellent competitive advantage, but also as a matter of social responsibility. It is also found that, although tourism supply agents show a growing concern about the relevance of offering accessible tourism products, there are still many accessibility requirements that are not offered by tourism supply agents, not only in terms of physical accessibility, but also at the level of information provided and the attitudes of professionals in the sector. The article ends with suggestions for future research in this area.
