Considerações sobre instrumentos de avaliação de sustentabilidade de destinos turísticos

Abstract

Considered as the main goal of the 21st century, the sustainable development is broadly pursued by the economics activities and with tourism, one of the most important economical activities at the global level, occurs like that. Aiming to assure the sustainability of the activity, some tools appear characterizing themselves as capable to analyse the sustainability of tourism destinations from an objective perspective. This paper aims to review five of these methodologies in order to identify if it fulfills the minimum requirements that are expected to be observed in tools of this type. It was made a reflection about its respective virtues and deficiencies using the Bellagio’s Principles as reference.
