Abstract

This article aims to discuss the hypothesis of defining new public policies intended to enable the reduction of gender inequality and home violence against Brazilian women, through their gainful inclusion into event industry. Besides, the history of violence against women is exposed together with the current economic aspects considered as one of the causes of such inequality. After a brief outline of the Brazilian economic crisis, the event industry characteristics related to the purposes of this article are presented. Additionally, considerations about work market inclusion formality are made. Finally, an analysis about women qualification and the necessity of making the three functional bodies of Brazil work in a simultaneous and effective way is made.
