Abstract

The Nature Walks are part of a public policy of rural development coordinated by Emater Paraná. The project aims at the organization of walking circuits in rural communities, in which there is sale of products and services offered by farmers to walkers from urban centers. This article aims to analyze the repercussions of Nature Walks for farmers in the social and economic dimensions. Three rural communities were selected and 13 farmers were in the Vale do Ivaí Territory, Paraná, Brazil. It was observed that Nature Walks have a significant influence on the social dimension of the actors. The economic dimension does not have important repercussion, although it is the main objective of this public policy.
