Abstract

The tourism sector is very diverse and covers several areas that require that the training of students is adapted to each one of them. At the end of a degree it is necessary that students have skills that enable them to easily adapt to any of the areas of the sector. For this purpose, different teaching and learning approaches can be adopted, in order to maximize the educational potential of the students. The present work aims to give some account of strategies adopted in higher education in Tourism courses. Thus, the aim of this work is, through a literature review, to understand how international institutions have used digital tools, contributing to the approach to the requirements of the labour market and to the development of digital competence. The analysis conducted, concludes that teachers implement different strategies in the teaching of tourism worldwide, although these studies are scarce, considering the existing resources.
