Higher education in bf hospitality: curricular internship in degree

Abstract

This paper intends to analyze the state of the art in higher education in the field of hospitality management in Portugal, recognized by the authors as being an integral area in Tourism knowledge. Thus, within the framework of the studies in hospitality management, the main goal is to analyze the importance of the curricular internship in hospitality management degrees in the public higher education (LGHP). For this purpose has developed a qualitative research, supported an interview semi-structured to the course coordinators (CC), in order to understand their view about internship program and its usefulness for graduates in hospitality management and hotels (UH), as well as other sources of evidence.
