Ecotourism challenges in Angola: sustainable development trends

Abstract

This article lists a set of priority elements to operationalize the ecotourism industry in the country. The aim of this article is to present the challenges of ecotourism in Angola in the face of the new trend of sustainable development, taking into account endogenous and exogenous conditions. To fulfill the objective, the article adopts the descriptive-qualitative methodology, taking theoretical and empirical contributions to develop an investigation of analysis, systematic and structural. For data presentation and tourism performance in Angola, local bibliographies, documents and observation will be reviewed. The diagnosis allowed the identification of natural, mineral and cultural potential favorable to the sector, but also challenges such as the lack of economic and social infrastructure, training, high prices and credits, the overcoming of which will foster ecotourism in the country.
