Mobile broadband radio communications: physical aspects

This paper deals with the propagation channel modeling aspects in the millimeter-wave band and its impact on the transmission performance of a mobile broadband radio communication system that intends to extend to the mobile users the range of services envisioned for the B-ISDN. It concludes that with a low equalization effort is possible to achieve some tens or even hundreds of Mbit/s per carrier provided an adequate antennaconfiguration for the environment is chosen.
