Abstract

Positron emission tomography is a technique whose purpose is the generation of images that can be used for medical diagnosis (such as the early detection of tumors). The objective of this text is not to give a comprehensive description of this technique (although some attention to, and a short description of PET is given) but to describe a set of eletronic circuits to be used in conjuction with PET detectors (liquid xenon detectors in the present case).
