Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to describe the ongoing work of evaluation and implementation of Ethernet as a real-time network. Ethernet would be integrated into a high performance distributed Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), the RTU500. Results of shared Ethernet performance tests are presented and an upper-layer proprietary protocol architecture is proposed.
