Aplicações de amplificadores de fibra dopada de érbio na banda L

Abstract

In this paper we describe the principles and some of the aplications of the erbium amplifier for operation in a band extensible to the conventional. We will investigate the advantages of using optical amplifiers with large bandwidth on the actual comunications systems. Also, we will study and implement a recent technique for equalization of the gain by means C-band pumping. Based on this amplifier a 10nm L-band tunable laser will also implemented.
