Ferramenta de simulação para análise espectral de redes de Bragg

Abstract

Fiber Bragg gratings are becoming important components for optical communication networks, allowing many operations to be realized without the need of conversion between electrical and optical domain. This paper presents a simulation and design tool for spectral characterization of Bragg gratings, based on Matlab, together with a graphical user interface created fromGUIDE toolbox, and entirely developed by us. A wide selection of fiber gratings can be analyzed, taking into account the undesirable effects of fabrication process on the averaged refractive index of the expected grating.
