Control Quality of Service (QoS) in Mobile Networks IP-based

Abstract

Quality of Service (QoS) aspects are one of the most interesting areas of work in new advanced networks, due to the complexity of planning and controlling IP networks with QoS, especially when associated with mobile environments. This paper discusses measuring problems in heterogeneous networks, particularly relevant measures for QoS. It coverstwo distinct tools: one for measurements of TCP connections; and the other a control element for a probe based system. The tools were developed and tested with the Moby Dick network with good results.
