Técnicas de subtracção de SPECT e seu co-registo com IRM: análise e optimização de um protocolo clínico e sua utilidade clínica em doentes epilépticos

Abstract

The correlation of data from several proveniences in Epilepsy has registered some progresses in the detection of the Epileptogenic focus/zone. The subtraction of SPECT co-registered to MRI (SISCOM) has been assuming as a valiant technique, localising the lesion area for surgical recession through a good location of the Epiletogenic zone. In this paper we present the automation and improvement performed to the Epilepsy SISCOM protocol used at the Neurophysiology Department of Santo António GeneralHospital that was previously too complex, not allowing an autonomous use by the clinician responsible to perform it.
