O codificador GSM a 13Kbits/s

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to introduce the structure of a coder used widely on the european mobile phone system GSM. First is presented the general principles to code human speech for transmission over telephone networks by introducing the main signal processing tools used, specially adressing linear prediction. After, the structure of the GSM 6.10 coder and decoder, is presented describing each of their partial blocks.
