Partial quantitative and qualitative results of an investigation initiated in 2016 are presented, with the main purpose of reflecting on the historical, technical and pedagogical aspects of the written studies for solo guitar in Brazil, beginning in the 1950's. Nowadays, we identified 45 ( forty-five) sets of studies based on investigative tools specific to the case study, as well as contributions from 25 (twenty-five) guitarists through questioning in a social network. The methodology of the research in progress is presented through an analytical process on the 25 Small Popular Studies for Guitar, written in the year 2015 by Emanuel Nunes.
