Análise dos elementos composicionais da obra violonística de Arthur Kampela

Abstract

This study, born from a personal quest to develop a commented interpretation of Arthur Kampela guitar artwork, analyzes its main compositional elements and how they incorporate both the metric irregularity, the physicality, the gesture and timbre approach. Knowing the compositional aspects and its correlation with performance can serve as a complement to the understanding and the interpretation of the work. Such study is part of my doctoral research at the University of Aveiro and has its basis in several statements by the composer himself, taking into consideration the fact that he is also an interpreter of his guitar compositions.
