As interferências da performance no processo de composição musical de adolescentes no contexto escolar

Abstract

The main objective of this preliminary study is to investigate how body performance may interfere in the process of musical composition of a group of adolescents in a school setting. The concept of musical composition is approached as a pedagogical activity in a music class (Maffioletti 2005). This work involves two concepts of performance: the first is related to the act of playing in a group, that is, music presentation; the second is related to the bodily actions involved throughout the writing process, from the first organizations to the act of presentation. The interest for this research topic emerged from studies in Performance and Education (Pineau 2013) together with the desire to investigate the relationship between adolescents, musical composition and basic education. The research methodology is a qualitative approach, merging concepts of teacherresearcher, ethnography of performance and group discussion methods. Data collection was performed throughout the term and recorded by recording audio and video at school. The analysis will be based on ethnography of performance.
