Abstract

In the digital age, online presence is essential to promote environmental tourism and provide up-to-date information about Conservation Units (CU). The State Environmental Institute (INEA) of Rio de Janeiro recognized this need when creating the "Parques Estaduais RJ" visitor website. Which offers visitors essential information about themselves, encourages sustainable tourism and environmental awareness.

However, managing the website and the data associated with it has become a challenge. Its 1st version appeared in 2017, by the Terra Institute for Environmental Preservation, with resources from the Atlantic Forest Fund. For the update, ArcGIS Enterprise[1] was used, which is an application development platform from Esri[2], using the Experience Builder tool, which allows users to create interactive web applications. This project describes how the site's migration to Enterprise has revolutionized the way INEA manages its information, spatial data and the provision of eco-tourism.
