Communities of Practice occur in different forms and can encompass categories such as learning and mentoring and peer tutoring. In a theoretical approach to Communities of Practice and Peer Learning, the importance of application in the teaching and learning process is observed, as well as a certain proximity between these approaches, given that both materialize in “practice” where information is shared, experiences and materials and use of mentoring strategies to facilitate learning. Given this context, this study aims to quantify and examine scientific publications on the interconnection between Community of Practice and Peer Learning and its different application contexts. To this end, bibliometric review was adopted as a methodology, through which a search was carried out in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, based on inclusion criteria established for the study. The quantities of documents found in the period between 2015 and 2021 were described; the areas related to the themes; the authors with the highest number of publications and citations and an analysis of the most used keywords. The main results on the interconnection of themes point to a predominance of publications in the areas of Education and Social Sciences and a constant increase in citations and publications until 2020. The study also reveals that the terms peer learning and Communities of practice are the ones that most appear as keywords and the application contexts are related to professional development and higher education.
