Abstract

This article aims to present the results of the mapping carried out on research carried out on digital games in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of Capes and in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses. It presents the Brazilian academic production, identifying the main theoretical and methodological steps adopted in research in Brazil on the theme of digital games. Systematic mapping was developed using an understanding of a bibliometric study, thus characterizing the quantitative character of the study and its results. The data collected point to an increase in production over the years, with a greater incidence in studies developed in the master's degree, with a greater incidence in the areas of computer science, linguistics, design and communication courses.
