In this paper we study the achievement of polytechnic higher education students in the learning of hypothesis tests, emphasizing the use of technology, the promotion of statistical reasoning and the students’ self-assessment of the project work. Thirty-one students of the Informatics Engineering Degree participated in the study, organized in small groups, which carried out a project work on the Social Networks theme. In terms of results, it should be noted that, in general, students experienced some difficulties in the use of technology, developed several statistical thinking’s dimensions and positively evaluated their participation in the project work.
