Audio visual technologies and its applicability in the teaching of nursing procedures

Objective: This study aims to identify the nursing students’ view of the importance of the applicability of audiovisual resources to the teaching of nursing procedures. Methodology: This is a qualitative study with an exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional approach carried out with 22 nursing students from the Wenceslau Braz Nursing School located in Itajubá-MG. Results: 86.36% female, mean age 24.18 (SD ± 7.53), 81, 81% singles, 22.72% elaborated and produced an educational video on spray bath, transfer and dressing of the patient, 95.45% participated in the activity acting during the video, average time spent performing the activity of 2 days with 27,27% and 63.63% said they did not find it difficult to develop the activity. As for the results evidenced by the guiding question, the central ideas were highlighted: It was good, I improved my knowledge and skills; It was good of great value; It was difficult, Innovative experience, with positive results. Conclusion: The use of active methodologies such as video production was significant for the teaching of nursing students.
