Abstract

In Argentina, more specifically in the Province of Buenos Aires, STS contents were included within the curricular designs of various subjects from the treatment of the Nature of Science and Technology. For this reason, this study focuses on the analysis of the contents of Nature of Science and Technology within the subject of food in two subjects: Biology and Health and Adolescence. To do this, 5 textbooks from different publishers were analyzed for each subject. A mixed methodology was used that included the categorization and analysis of the books. We found a significant presence of external sociology content of science throughout the whole approach to the contents of nutrition in both subjects. While the contents related to the epistemology were null in both subjects.
