Relevância da abordagem qualitativa no estudo de caso

Abstract

This article based on theoretical, deals with the Relevance of the Qualitative approach on the case Study, with a variety of techniques and methods that have helped investigators in researches on social relationships. Currently, it is clear that many researchers seek answers to their research problems and qualitative research is of great importance, as it is an important investigative path to be led by them. One of the strategies of the qualitative approach is the study case, which has been receiving in recent years a greater interest, since, it is an eclectic proposal that allows researchers to accurately analyze many angles of a subject of study. There are several approaches which are targeted in the case studies, such as: exploratory, descriptive and evaluative, which are used according to the objects of research. But also, there is a disciplinary approach, with the ethnographic, historical, sociological and psychological factors. And also about the number of cases, the studies of single cases and multiple cases. There are still techniques that can help researchers in their field research such as direct observation, participant observation, action observation, interviews, focus groups, documents, log files, life history in the real context and yet questionnaires and physical artifacts, which are used depending on the search field. Linguistics with discourse analysis facilitates such analysis in the case studies. There is a great responsibility that the researcher must take at a research of a case study, as it is entered on a qualitative approach, there is exploitation on the analysis and interpretation of data, which are for reference and should not be so decontextualized, but so carefully to define clearly the case studied. Thus, the researcher following the objectives, shows that the research with case study is relevant and with an opening in various fields of knowledge.
