Abstract

This study aims to investigate the concepts of Science, Technology and Society of Teachers of lower grades of elementary school, as well as a process of continuing education can contribute to the reconstruction of these concepts, assuming that such concepts are important for the implementation of approaches CTS in science teaching. Participating in this work, which is under development, four teachers of Elementary School who are working for many years and a beginner. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and also VOSTS. Observed naive conceptions, neutral, decontextualized, ahistorical. At the end of the first period of the course, new designs were shown, indicating a possible reconstruction of the visions of Sciences presented initially.
