Among the resources used in organizations, the human resource can be considered one of the most important and complex to be well managed, which highlights a key issue in the managing people process, the individual skills. When it comes to individual managers skills, this importance increases further due to the magnitude that the consequences of the decisions of these professionals can take, it refers to the idea that you need certain skills profile to managers so that they can achieve a satisfactory result performing their activities. In this sense, the present study aimed to identify which managers individual skills are considered more required and therefore more important in the corporate environment, thus aiming to ascertain what skills profile is considered more appropriate to the proper performance of the manager. The research is a case study applied to an automotive chosen for convenience. The research focuses on a quantitative-qualitative, exploratory and descriptive data and studied through a comparative analysis so that it was possible to answer the problem raised. A comparison between the skills profile expected by the organization and the profile of competencies identified as important by managers, and based on these data was performed considerations on the results of research and competence profile considered most appropriate one, can then verify a considerable alignment between the company’s vision and the vision of managers as to the desired profile of individual skills for managers.
