Abstract

In this paper we present some applications of GeoGebra to visualize 3D and 4D objects promoting the understanding of concepts and their inherent properties. It will be briefly mentioned some early experiments using GeoGebra for the construction of three-dimensional reference systems, exploration of spatial concepts and representation of fractal objects.

It will be described a first experience using GeoGebra 3D capabilities in a class of students attending the 10th grade of a secondary school education, followed by a sample of new capabilities given by GeoGebra version 4.9 such as manipulation of planar objects in space and representation of uni or bi dimensional vetorial real functions of two real variables using a domain coloring technique in the four-dimensional case.
