Construção e integração de conteúdos em formato digital no domínio da Matemática – uma experiência pedagógica

Abstract

This study aims at evaluating the impact of the software targeting the teaching of Geometry involving 10th grade of a Portuguese school: Determined Sections in a Cube by means of a Plan. This concerns not only what motivation implies but also the development of the side competences in Geometry.

The method used for this study was developed in the classroom focusing on a quality valuation of a particular situation and thus exploring the software: Determined Sections in a Cube by means of a Plan. The target group were 10th grade of a Portuguese school.

The gathering of data was performed by means of questionnaires, half-structured interviews, reports and formative evaluation worksheets.

According to the results, we may conclude that this educational software had a great impact on the students in what regards the process of learning of the previously mentioned subject, having therefore acquired geometrical and side competences.

It is worth mentioning that these students went through a new experience in the classroom being very much motivated in acquiring and sharing ideas both with their classmates and their teacher, which contributed a lot to the importance of Mathematics.
