This work aims to present the development of a workshop held at a student event aimed at high school students at a state school in the city of Duque de Caxias – Rio de Janeiro / Brazil. Furthermore, we also seek to demonstrate that reverse planning can be a good ally for the organization of teaching and that the problem-based learning method can promote meaningful learning for the student. Students were divided into groups to carry out the activities proposed during the workshop, which were: a. The production of a mental map with the concepts surrounding healthy eating, b. Open debate to exchange meaning about the concepts presented, c. Reading and debate on a problem situation presented by the teacher on the topic of food, d. Preparation and presentation of a report with proposed solutions to the problem presented in the problem situation, e. Preparation of a recipe with the reuse of some part of food that would otherwise be discarded f. Presentation of the recipes produced by the groups and g. Closing of the workshop with each group speaking about their experience and learning from the dynamics carried out in the workshop. As a result, it was possible to contribute to the formation of conscious and reflective students about the importance of adopting good eating habits and that this will positively impact the functioning of their body as a whole.
