Use of educational robots in the development of computational thinking in students with multiple disabilities, in the 1st CEB: an educational experience

In the scope of the ongoing training, Digital Training of Teachers – Level 2, an educational experiment with students with multiple disabilities, that attend the 1st CEB, was conducted to further understand how educational robots can contribute to student’s development of computational thinking. The present study employs a multi-method approach combining direct observation of the participants and collection of data digitally. Overall, the results of this study indicate that the participating students with multiple disabilities, were able to expand on some of the pillars of computational thinking, but also develop skills that promote quality of life and inclusion in the community.
