This article aims to identify the interrelationships between the scientific initiation and the university formation of the graduates participants of the Scientific Initiation Programs, from 1995 to 2008, in the perspective of managers. O locus was a private university in Sergipe/Brazil, in the scenery of the graduation and graduate schools. This is a qualitative study based on the content analysis of interviews conducted with five managers in this private university. The interviewees reported that private higher education institutions still have many difficulties to be overcome to produce knowledge on a par with public institutions of the country. This situation allows for more signal that advances that have in the IC field in the institution under study, there is still much to do to transform this public policy for science available to students who actually are interested in living this experience so significant research.
