Perspectives, reflections and contributions to the field of Supervision in Portugal: from different authors and contexts

The Research Centre on Didactics and Technology in the Education of Trainers - CIDTFF - and the Department of Education and Psychology of the University of Aveiro (DEP-UA), organized and hosted online, due to the conditions imposed by the coronavirus (COVID -19), the II National and I International Congress of Supervision: Policies and Practices on the 5th and 6th of November 2020 (http://supervisao2020.web.ua.pt/). This event brought together researchers, supervisors, teachers and students, both from Portugal and Brazil, who work and who are interested in the field of Supervision in its relationship with Training. Thus, from the various lectures and communications, it was intended to assume Supervision in its transformative and democratic dimension, capable of improving training processes, promoting professional and organisational development, in a logic of increasing the quality in Education. It also had as one of its main objectives to contribute to the reflection on the produced knowledge, trying to identify new developments that allow the consolidation of the Supervision field, either through the research contributions, or through the contributions of the reflection on the intervention in the education and training contexts. In this way, twelve representative texts of reflections, findings and contributions to the enrichment of the field of Supervision were identified and are part of this special issue of the Journal Indagatio Didactica.
