Abstract

This didactic proposal was developed and applied with a 3rd grade class of Vocational High School, in the subject of Mathematics, from a public school in the city of Sobral - CE. The purpose of this report is to associate the necessary skills for a RPG game - Role Playing Game - to the use of logical-mathematical strategies with regard to decision making, strategy for solving problems and some basic principles of counting and probability, as well as interpersonal relationships, entering the field of socio-emotional competences. The Teaching of Mathematics can be worked through the use of RPG games using Storytelling techniques and textual interpretation as a playful and dynamic resource for students, enabling a new drapery to the logical-mathematical theory, giving them autonomy and decentralizing the figure of the teacher as the holder of knowledge. The methodology of this work consisted in the design and application of an RPG game, where the puzzles / tasks created were geared towards teaching counting and probability in a creative way, exploring storytelling. Data collection took place through photographic records, observations of the sessions and registration of textual productions for script of the sessions. Thus, this experience showed how the teacher can restructure his classes, facilitating the learning and contextualization of problem situations, in addition to providing the development of students’ interactive skills, as the game mechanism involves character interpretation, strategy development and decision making. quick decisions.
