This text aims to understand whether activities using plurilingual kamishibai promote curricular learning in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes, and can raise awareness of linguistic diversity.
In this text we will present the results of a study carried out in 2019, around the plurilingual kamishibai tool, built from a didactic intervention program in a class of the 2nd year of primary school, in the region of Aveiro, characterized by the existence of linguistic and cultural diversity.
To this end, the results were obtained by analyzing photographic records, and by interviewing the teacher and students.
In conclusion, the activities implemented using plurilingual kamishibai provided students with the development of curricular learning at the level of Portuguese, mathematics and plastic expression and raised awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity.
