Abstract

The need to know the attitudes of teachers in relation to Statistics is recognized. Therefore, it’s possible to know better the teachers predisposition and commitment in the teaching and learning processes and also in their training. This study with 1098 teachers of the 1st and 2nd cycle of portuguese basic education focuses on the measurement of attitudes towards Statistics and theirs components by using a tested scale with good psychometric characteristics, EAEE.
A general positive attitude towards Statistics of the surveyed teachers was found, in a global level as well as in the components level.
