What does a class full of attentive students require, in the age of AI? This article seeks to provide answers to this question. One needs to constantly innovate to have a classroom full of interested students. Innovation in this respect will depend upon: a) intuition (to cater to the specific needs of those present); b) using various attendance strategies (providing for a meritocratic environment); c) using current and real cases for discussion; d) carefully preparing technical course material while resorting to various relevant, recent and interesting and engaging subject-matter sources. The article uses Intuitive Field Research (IFRes) – a novel qualitative method - to portray a way forward for lecturers in the age of AI and other classroom distractions in the post-COVID-19 era.
