About the Journal
Forma Breve is an annual journal of the Department of Languages and Cultures of the University of Aveiro, with scientific arbitration (double anonymous peer reviewed evaluation) that, since 2003, publishes original studies and reviews, in the area of the Humanities, with special emphasis on literary studies. It has maintained a regular rhythm of publication, since the year of its creation, and it is a journal aimed at academics and researchers as well as the general public. Since volume no. 12 (2015) this scientific journal has privileged the publication of articles from congresses organized by the research group "Mythographies: Themes and Variations", of the R&D unit Centre for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC), of the University of Aveiro. From issue no. 17 (2021) onwards, the journal will be published exclusively online.
The journal accepts unpublished works, not submitted to other journals, in the following languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian and French.
The journal is indexed in Capes/Qualis (in category B2), RCAAP (Open Access Scientific Repository in Portugal), Open Aire, DOAJ. It is also planned to be submitted for indexing in SCOPUS.
The Creative Commons license for the journal is CC BY. Its contents are freely available, in open access, in the platform PROA, in which, besides the online publication of the full volume, each published article is also assigned an individual pdf with DOI (Digital Object Identifier). There is no charge for the submission, peer review, revision, online availability and download of the articles. Copyright remains with the authors.
This journal permits and encourages authors to post items submitted to the journal on personal websites or institutional repositories both prior to and after publication, while providing bibliographic details that credit, if applicable, its publication in this journal.
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
The Journal Forma Breve adheres to the principles of ethics outlined by COPE - Committee on Publication Ethics.
All proposals in which plagiarism is detected will be rejected. For this detection, URKUND/OURIGINAL is used, or another tool.
