As fábulas e os bestiários na literatura de recepção infantil contemporânea

Abstract

The objective of this study is to reflect upon the reading of representative works of contemporary children’s literature, particularly fables, by relating them to animal and bestiary texts. The study includes a brief reflection on some of the main theoretical principles of the aforementioned genres, taking into account the development of fables throughout the history of Portuguese children’s literature.
